The What, The Why & The Who of Web 2.0

Most businesses need to thrive in order to survive. To do this they need to look at the best options available to them, RIGHT?

We think so, that's why we've spent 2 years building Career Centre's with Web 2.0 principles for all types of businesses, institutes , societies and associations. We want to try and educate our customers on where this new age of the internet is taking us and how best to equip ourselves for it. So please read on.....

As you may or may not know, Web 2.0 is set to be embraced by Enterprise 2.0 as businesses prepare to spend nearly $5 billion by 2010 on social networking tools.

Over half of the companies in North America and Europe see Web 2.0 as a priority for next year, a survey says.

Forrester, the research company which carried out the Web 2.0 survey, believes the technologies being developed represent "a fundamentally new way" for businesses to communicate with employees and (potential) customers. Of these, social networks will attract the greatest levels of investment. The most startling number to come out of this recent study - a survey of 260+ I.T. professionals - is that 63% are now expecting social technologies to impact the business world. Even more interesting is that they feel that the impact will be a positive one - only 3% of respondents viewed Web 2.0 negatively.

In 2008, one in three businesses across North America and Europe is planning to invest in Web 2.0 tools and technologies. They plan to align themselves with 2008 IT priorities and clearly articulate to clients how Web 2.0 technologies are solving specific business problems.

That's where CareerQuestions Career Centre's come in. Our aim is simple, we want our customers to be able to create an Interactive Online Careers Information Resource. They can ask an Organization Questions and find information about them, all the prospective Careers in its industry and it's current Vacancies, Educational Courses on offer, all while connecting them to other users for informative chats and discussions.
